Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) recently appointed Mr. Banesh Prabhu as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the bank's Technology and Operations Group, to enhance SCB's strength in terms of technology and leadership in financial innovation, support the bank's operations and services at home and business expansion in the ASEAN region.
Joining SCB in June, Mr. Prabhu is a technology management and financial solutions veteran with over 30 year’s experience with international financial firms and institutions. His expertise in technology and operations for financial institutions and software consultancies will enhance and add value to the bank's financial solutions for both domestic banking services and further expansion on a regional level.
Mr. Prabhu held several senior global roles in operations and technology in Citibank for 23 years where he was responsible to develop strategy and manage implementation of global delivery and servicing clients in international markets. He has also been a key investor in a few startups as an entrepreneur.
Mr. Prabhu holds a Bachelor's Degree in General Law and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Bombay, is as Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
