Bangkok--4 Jul--Variety Hotels
Thailand-based hotel management company, Variety Hotels, has announced the addition of the Paradise Beach Resort, Koh Samui, to their portfolio this month, making it the tenth hotel represented by the group in destinations including Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Koh Tao.
The Paradise Beach Resort sits on a six-kilometer stretch of white sand beach in the Meanam section of Koh Samui, just 20 kilometers from the island’s international airport. The resort offers 95 rooms and bungalows as well as two swimming pools, a restaurant and beach bar, and a full service spa. The resort was originally opened 20 years ago and has enjoyed a strong reputation ever since, welcoming back many repeat guests over the years.
When Peter Kaelli, C.E.O. of Variety Hotels, came to Thailand in the early 1980’s the current owner of Paradise Beach was Henry Widler, who was the Managing Director of the Royal Garden Group. Initially Peter was hired as Resident Manager of the Royal Garden Resort in Pattaya and was subsequently promoted to General Manager for the opening of the Royal Garden Village in Hua Hin (now the Anantara). This was Peter’s first position as a General Manager, and resulted in a long relationship over the years between the two which has come full circle today with the Paradise Beach Resort joining Variety Hotels. As the group’s newest property, Variety plans to improve several aspects of Paradise Beach including its facilities and services, as well as diversify the resort’s market segments and client base.
Variety Hotels was established in 2004 as a hotel management company with its headquarters in Bangkok. With more than 35 employees, the group provides services to hotels in the areas of Sales & Marketing, Revenue & Distribution, Accounting and Cost Control, Human Resources, Training and Quality Assurance, and much more. The group’s mission is to provide high quality facilities, service and accommodation at affordable prices. Variety’s sister company is The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts, which manages 15 boutique resorts in Thailand and Myanmar. The Unique Collection will open The Treasure Resort on the private island of Koh Madsum, just 15-minutes from Koh Samui.
