Mary Kay Thailand embarks on an aggressive business strategy to be a major direct seller of premium skin care and color cosmetics.
The company has officially opened its new head office, located at Pattanakarn Road, Bangkok, in anticipation of forging a much stronger presence in the Thai market. The two-storey office is replete with facilities for customer service, meeting and training of sales consultants and warehousing of products.
Operating as a single level marketer for the past 10 years, Mary Kay has introduced network marketing for the first time in Thailand. In adopting the network marketing scheme. "we will offer a wider range of premium products and greater benefits to beauty consultants (saleswomen)." according to Mr. Theerawat Ketratat, the newly appointed president of Mary Kay and a veteran of 20 years in the Direct Sales business.
The scheme enables a substantial increase in earning potential of the sales person as well as those networking with that person.

The two-day sales rally will not only recognize and reward the present sales force but also inspire new recruits to join the fast expanding team of Mary Kay beauty consultants.
Network marketing, says Mr. Ketratat, would help double Mary Kay's current sales force in the very near future.
"We believe Mary Kay and Direct Sales as a whole have enormous potential to grow in Asia despite the recession affecting many markets. Not just providing new job opportunities, Direct Sales is also creating new opportunities to enhance sales," says K.K. Chua, chairman of mary Kay Inc Asia Pacific.
