PACQUIAO VS. RIOS: The Clash in Cotai features Fighter of the Decade Congressman Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and former world champion and reigning hellion Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios battling each other in a 12-round welterweight rumble, Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Cotai Arena. For Pacquiao, the event marks the pound-for-pound box office monarch's first fight outside the U.S. since his 12-round super featherweight unanimous decision victory over former world champion Oscar Larios in 2006, which took place in the Philippines. One of boxing’s most exciting fighters, Rios' only fight outside the U.S. was in Mexico in 2008 when he won a 10-round split decision over Ricardo Dominguez.
The July 27 Fists of Gold II multi-bout event features two-time Olympic gold medallist and three-time Amateur World Champion Zou Shiming returning to the ring in a flyweight matchup against Mexico’s Jesus Ortega, plus the Macao debut of Hong Kong’s undefeated super flyweight Rex “The Wonder Kid” Tso against Thailand’s Rusalee Samor. The spectacular fight card also features two world championship showdowns — WBO/WBA flyweight champion Juan Estrada vs. the undefeated Milan Melindo and undefeated IBF featherweight champion Evgeny Gradovich vs. Mauricio Mu?oz. Watching all the action from ringside will be none other than Pacquiao, the first and only boxer to win world titles in eight different weight divisions.
