Successful recording artist and actress Selena Gomez has exclusively designed her first ever adidas NEO Label fashion collection. As a global style icon for the brand, Selena can now add guest designer to her ever-growing list of talents as she has been working closely with the adidas NEO Label design team since 2012 to create the new ‘Rock Chic’ themed collection scheduled to be available in Thailand this August.
Selena commented: “I love playing around with fashion and like clothes that are fun, easy to wear and comfortable. My collection has a rock chic theme and it’s confident, rebellious and fun. It’s also a little bit darker and I think it encourages girls to put their own stamp on their individuality and show confidence in what they are wearing.”
The 53-piece ‘Rock Chic’ collection for girls is a twist on classic rock style with an effortless edge. Designs have been created drawing inspiration from Selena’s love for music, and styles from the catwalk. Experienced in experimenting with fashion herself, she chose shapes and fabrics taking cues from styles she felt comfortable in, while giving the range a rocking wild side with studs that have been embroidered to create punk rock inspired patterns seen throughout the collection. The ‘Rock Chic’ collection has been designed beautifully with a touch of confidence, freshness and adventure while keeping feminine touch for the girls who are fans of the label.
“When I designed this collection, I was determining that all the girls can wear each piece in a various, different way possible. And that was in line with adidas NEO brand concept for which each item must be created for all wearers to be able to mix and match them in any way or any style they please while giving them confidence to be themselves in every day,” added Selena.
