Hansar Bangkok Reports Upgrading Hotel Page on TripAdvisor “Has the Best Return on Investment”
TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site*, announced that the Hansar Bangkok hotel has converted $82 in incremental bookings for every dollar spent through TripAdvisor Business Listings — according to a Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impact (TEI) study entitled “The Total Economic Impact of TripAdvisor’s Business Listings” (May 2013). This independent, commissioned study, conducted on behalf of TripAdvisor, projects that the 62-room luxury boutique hotel will convert more than $630,720 in incremental bookings over a three-year period on a $7,700 investment.
TripAdvisor Business Listings enables individual hotels to increase their property’s exposure in front of TripAdvisor’s 230 million unique monthly visitors** by adding their direct contact information—such as a website link, email address and phone number—to their property pages on the site, and by adding special offers on high-visibility pages.
Forrester Consulting evaluated the economic impact of Business Listings for Hansar Bangkok with the goal of providing accommodation owners with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of using Business Listings in their organizations. According to the study, Business Listings produced a very positive 6,876% risk-adjusted return on investment (ROI) for the hotel. A “risk-adjusted” ROI factors potentially mitigating risks into the overall return formula, allowing for a more accurate results projection.
“Our investment in TripAdvisor’s Business Listings has really proven itself. I think it’s the lowest-cost channel and has the best return on investment,” said Mark Shrives, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hansar Bangkok. “We get unlimited clicks, calls, and emails. TripAdvisor’s Business Listings allows Hansar Bangkok hotel to compete more effectively with the other five-star ‘branded’ luxury hotels.”
“The impressive results Hansar Bangkok has achieved utilizing TripAdvisor Business Listings is similar to many other success stories we’ve heard from properties of all sizes throughout the world,” said Julio Bruno, Global Vice President of Sales for TripAdvisor. “A Business Listing combined with a fantastic service culture is a winning combination for driving direct bookings.”
