Big C Supercenter expands its wholesale store network with the opening of Big C Jumbo Navanakorn that aims to provide complete professional solutions at wholesale prices. The new store highlights the buy-5-get-wholesale-price concept and aims to draw over 12,000 new members in the 10km radius in 2 months.
Dr. Sarintip Satitsatian, Vice President for Business Development of Big C Supercenter Plc, announces that “As the first Big C Jumbo in Samrong has been receiving great responses from mom&pop shops, Horeca business and SMEs, Big C has been exploring the possibility for the 2nd Big C Jumbo and concluded that Navanakorn area should be the text location as it has high concentration of business and entrepreneurs of all sizes.”
“Big C Jumbo Navanakorn has been renovated from a Big C Supercenter as we determined that the location is perfect for a wholesale center. The 10-km radius of the store is clustered with businesses, SMEs and large family but there has not been a wholesale operator serving the area yet. As much, Big C Jumbo Navanakorn has very high potential in satisfying the needs of its target groups.”
“Big C Jumbo Navanakorn now has 2,600 sq.m. sale area for 4,000 SKUs of wholesale-priced bulk products — 3,300 SKUs are food and 700 SKUs non-food. In 2014, we will proceed to expand wholesale area for fresh food.”
“Our target customers are mom&pop shops, HORECA operators, business, SMEs, factories, schools, hospitals and retail customers who buy in bulk in the 10-km radius of the store covering Navanakorn, Klong Luang, Bang Pa-In, Rangsit, Tanyaburi, Wang Noi and Ayudhaya areas. We will communicate with them through our direct mails sent every 15 days.”
Dr. Sarintip reveals the 2nd Big C Jumbo’s new concept that “Our main target customers are the small business operators. As such, we are introducing the buy-5-get-wholesale-price concept to facilitate customers who do not necessarily buy the whole bulk to benefit from wholesale price. In addition, we will run promotion campaigns like coupons and “Jumbo Loyalty Program” that returns 10 baht cash back for every 1,000 baht purchase.”
