Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich (2nd from right) and Senior Executive Vice President Virasak Suthanthavibul (right) and Mahachai Green Power Managing Director Chainarong Chanpalangsri (2nd from left) and Executive Director Cherdsak Wattanavijitkul (left) signed a loan agreement for Baht 537 million to support the company’s investment in Mahachai Power Plant Project, a 9.5-megawatt biomass power plant which uses coconut mass as fuel to produce electricity of 8 megawatts to sell to the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). The project is located at Chaimongkol sub-district in the Muang District, Samut Sakhon. Mahachai Green Power was established by four partners including TPC Power Holding, EnBW AG, NC Coconut and Green Power Producer Group with registered capital of Baht 20 million and plan to raise the registered capital to 210 million in 2014.
