Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently held an event to showcase Thai inflight menu improvements.
Mr. Kittirat Na Ranong (third from left), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, presided over the opening ceremony of “THAI Brings Thai Cuisine to The World” which was held on the 1 floor, Central Court, at Central World. Mr. Yanyong Phuangrach (fourth from left), Deputy Minister of Commerce, presented the Thai Select Certificate, which guarantees the quality and taste of Thai meals prepared by THAI Catering, to Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan (second from left), THAI President, with the presence of Gen. Prin Suvanadat (first from left), Deputy Minister of Transport, Mrs. Srirat Rastapana (fifth from left), Director General, Department of International Trade Promotion, and Flg. Off. Suraphon Israngura Na Ayuthya (sixth from left), THAI Managing Director, Catering Department.
The event involved activities such as food tasting of 14 different Thai dishes prepared by THAI Catering with Thai Select ingredients. Special guests, media, and visitors to the event were invited to take part in the taste-tasting and voting for their favorite Thai dish for a chance to win a lucky draw prize from THAI Catering. THAI has been serving these special menus with Thai Select ingredients on international flights departing from Bangkok since 1 July 2013. Puff & Pie Bakery, THAI Catering bakery outlet, also set up its booth for customers to purchase take away food.
