Bangkok--15 Aug--Vivaldi Public Relations "Colors of the Heart" charity event will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 10:00am — 5:00pm celebrating the efforts of kind hearted artists who gave their time and skills to painting wonderful murals on the walls of Camillian Home, a non-profit care facility committed to serving children with serious physical and intellectual disabilities. Since it was built in 2009, the home has been visited by several artists who came on their own to add color and creativity that brighten the walls of Camillian Home. This year, art curator Yvonne Liang initiated the project “Colors of the Heart” to invite more artists to the home to fill the remaining blank walls with vivid and imaginative murals. “From the first time I visited Camillian Home the existing murals really struck me as a great way to make this a more wonderful place. I wanted to invite my artist friends to do something nice and gift their art to the kids of Camillian Home. It’s been great to see so many generous individuals willing to give their time and energy freely. I hope more artists will make the effort to come out and participate in this truly meaningful project,” said Yvonne Liang, art curator and Camillian Home volunteer. Bangkok-based artists Cec? Nobre, Kahat Sujipisut, Kanchala Koi Navanugraha, Karma Sirikogar , Matt Diamond, Vinni Kiniki, and students from Bromsgrove International School have already left their creative impressions on the walls, mainly on the wheelchair accessible ramp that leads from the ground floor to the third floor of Camillian Home. “It was natural for me to paint at Camilian Home because I’ve always been really involved in helping children with my art. Bangkok has a massive lack of organizations and schools that help children in need, so it’s great to support those who are making a difference. I think that art is a great boost to the quality of life and I love to help kids anyway that I can,” said Cec? Nobre, artist from V64 Gallery. Artists are welcome to paint at Camillian Home from now until September, but they can also come to paint after the event as this is an on-going project aimed to bring more color and vitality to the home. All members of the public are welcome to join “Colors of the Heart” event which promises to be a fun-filled day for both kids and adults. Guests can expect play booths, live music performances, charity auction, and plenty of food from popular restaurants such as Nadimos and Gianni’s. About Camillian Home: Established in 2009 by Father Giovanni Contarin, Camillian Home is a registered non-profit children's charity providing care and treatment for children living with disabilities and serious illness.
