Esso (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand recognize the importance of the eco-friendly waste management of electronic materials and have therefore donated 900 used mobile phones and accessories to the Center of Excellence on Hazardous Substance Management, Chulalongkorn University.
Mr. Ekraj Wongkiatkachorn (5thleft), Thailand Area Operations Manager, ExxonMobil Information Technology, ExxonMobil Limited, presented 900 used mobile phones and accessories — both corporate and personal sets from employees - to Asst. Prof. Manaskorn Rachakornkij (4thleft), Deputy Director of the Center of Excellence on Hazardous Substance Management, Chulalongkorn University. These used hazardous items will be properly disposed of and recycled using the eco-friendly waste management procedure for electronic materials under the Chula Loves the Earth project.
Chula Loves the Earth project, a collaboration between the university and Nokia, has invited the public to donate their used mobile phones, batteries and other recyclable items. For each returned phone, Nokia will also donate 60 baht to His Majesty the King’s Chaipattana Foundation.
