Bangkok Bank is honored and proud to be named by InfoBank magazine, a leading media publication in Indonesia, as one of the top three foreign banks in Indonesia, after receiving a “very good” score, together with other globally famous foreign banks.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Chaiyarit Anuchitworawong said that it is an honor for Bangkok Bank in Indonesia to receive this compliment from InfoBank, Indonesia’s leading and best-selling banking magazine. Bangkok Bank was named among the top three best foreign banks in Indonesia with a ‘very good’ score. The ranking is: 1) HSBC 2) Standard Chartered Bank 3) Bangkok Bank 4) Citibank 5) Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bank 6) Bank of China 7) JPMorgan Chase Bank 8) Deutsche Bank 9) The Royal Bank of Scotland and 10) Bank of America.
InfoBank magazine’s June 2013 issue rated Bangkok Bank as among the best foreign banks in Indonesia because of its outstanding performance in 2012. Bangkok Bank Indonesia reported an increase of 63.17% in loans, 88.42% in total deposits, 104.61% in funds and 59.92% in total assets, year-on-year.
Mr. Chaiyarit added that Bangkok Bank opened its first Indonesian branch in Jakarta in 1968 and the second one in Surabaya in 2012. Chalit Tayjasanant is the general manager of the Indonesian operation and is responsible for providing quality services and building strong relationships and networks with locals in both the government and private sectors.
