DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, recently donated a set of 500 plastic chairs to Suankularbwittayalai Rangsit School in Pathumthani, Bangkok, Thailand. The donation made was one of the Group’s ways to bring its Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy to life through active engagements in the local community initiatives and, more importantly, to provide a more conducive studying environment for the students at Suankularbwittayalai Rangsit School.
DHL is firmly committed to assisting where and however it can to improve the environment for these students. They will be Thailand’s flag bearers in the years ahead and we are glad to be able to play a part in shaping their future,” said Chananyarak Phetcharat, Managing Director, DHL Express Thailand and Indochina. “We look forward to fostering the tradition that all of our DHL employees embrace in working to improve opportunities for young people at local levels throughout Thailand.”
DHL’s approach towards CR is firmly embedded in the group’s overall business strategy. Held in conjunction with DHL’s annual Volunteer Day, that was launched in 2011 with more than 60,000 volunteers in over 130 countries participating in more than 600 community programs, this recent donation of school supplies underscores DHL’s drive to take a more active role in supporting many diverse community projects in support of various local causes.
