Bangkok--4 Sep--Market-Comms As per the 3rd SMEs Promotion Plan, The Ministry of Commerce is boosting Thailand’s SMEs by promoting short-term and long-term structural competitiveness. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICOC), following the Thai-Turkey investment and commerce policy, has their eyes on the Asian market and sees the potential of Thailand as the future trading and investment center. To be prepared for the AEC in 2015, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce plans to host “Expo Turkey in Thailand”, which aims to educate and develop the “Thai Brand for ASEAN Market” Mr. Panithan Bumrasarinpai, as ICOC official representative, Senior Vice-President N.C.C. Development and Management Co., Ltd. and Acting General Manager of N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd reveals, “Now Thai entrepreneurs are facing the challenging internal and external factors such as increasing labor costs, world economic fluctuations and the upcoming AEC era, therefore the company needs to develop in many areas especially in business competency. The government is helping develop the new entrepreneurs or SMEs and has set the target at 250,000 companies or 50,0000 businessperson in line with the Turkish policy of “Look East”, which points to the Thai market as it is looking for products or services with competitive quality and price in response to the upcoming AEC market.” Mr. Ozkan Sarikaya, Chief of Executive Officer, Atiker Thailand said “ATIKER is the global brand from Turkey with innovative production at European standard. The event will showcase the technology, tools, innovation, products and services as well as providing knowledge on trade and investment planning. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will display the products and services from the government sector, associations and companies from different industries, such as food, machinery, technology, tool, electric appliances, packaging, kitchenware, decorative items, tourism, medical supplies, healthcare, beauty, clothes and fashion. Some of the fascinating activities includes the Turkish Pavilion; offering spectacular products, services, tourist destinations, cultural lifestyle which one can enjoy the Turkish overview in just 1 day and the Turkish Cultural Festival; which presents stunning performances by more than 100 Turkish artists, and last but not the least, the Turkish Arts Festival; which shows the world’s best Turkish mosaic decorations. “Expo Turkey in Thailand is expected to welcome about 2,000 visitors and everyone present is educated and trained about the Turkish products as well during these 3 days.” ICOC representative added.
