The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) continues to expand the SET Investment Center (SET IC) program to provide financial literacy and information services to students, investors, the general public, and securities professionals outside of Bangkok, enabling them to access information quickly, easily, and conveniently.
The center is under the concept “Your Investment Center: One You Can Reach,” offering a modern and full range of services. The latest SET IC is at Suratthani Rajabhat University in Suratthani province.
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said that providing financial and investment literacy nationwide is one of SET’s key missions in order to match opportunities for investors and the general public to access information easily, conveniently, and quickly. The main factor to achieve this mission is to have a strong university network, as shown by opening the SET IC in Suratthani Rajabhat University. SET also expects to open two more SET ICs later this year.
“SET IC is a modern and comprehensive learning source equipped with variety of learning media from SET, such as books, text books, journals, and other information covering investment and financial planning. The center provides all information and online-investment, including SETSMART for listed companies information and stock prices, live broadcasts for Opportunity Day activities, Aspen program, Click2win program, and e-learning on www.tsi-thailand.org. The total value of the information provided in each SET IC is THB 4.5 million,” Charamporn added.
The center will provide updated information and modern learning media, enabling visitors to be the first to get economic and investment information. Each SET IC also provides seminars by professionals from SET and securities companies and other training throughout the year so that participants will sustainably have good investment opportunities, Charamporn said.
In the rest of this year, SET plans to add open SET ICs in Kasetsart University-Si Racha campus and Ubon Ratchathaini. These will be in addition to the current four SET ICs, which are in Chiangmai, Naresuan, Khon Kaen Universities, and Prince of Songkla University-Hat Yai campus.
The SET IC in Suratthani Rajabhat University is open Monday-Friday, except for public holidays, at 09:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., and is on the ground floor of the Management Sciences Faculty. For more information, please visit www.tsi-thailand.org/SETIC
