Costa Coffee, the UK’s No. 1 premium coffee shop chain, announces the opening of its 1000th international store located in Bangkok, making it the first ever Costa store in Thailand.
Costa Coffee is already present in 29 countries outside of the UK and is the world’s second largest coffee shop chain. The first branch in Thailand opened last month in Siam Paragon (G floor), offering more choices for coffee lovers. The brand sells high quality products, both drinks and food ranges, and delivers great customer service in a comfortable atmosphere. Costa aims at opening 100 branches in Thailand and Cambodia in the next 5 years.
Mr. Jean-Boris Roux is the regional development director of RMA Group which owns Express Food Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the operator of Costa franchises in Thailand. “We have seen a great opportunity to set foot in Thailand. With Costa’s premium products and services, we are confident we will receive an excellent feedback and a warm welcome from customers. Our group thus continues its expansion, operating now over 60 stores in South East Asia. Express Food Group (EFG)’s global revenue has increased from 12 million USD in 2011 to 25 million USD in 2012 and we expect to grow by 35% this year” says Mr. Roux.
