Bangkok--12 Sep--Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Thailand’s most prestigious “flea market”, the “Clutter Sale for Charity”, organized by the NewsMakers, will be held for the eighth year running on Sunday, 6 October 2013, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. Proceeds will benefit Chulalongkorn Hospital’s 'Hematological Cancer Research Centre' under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross. The adage “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure” has proven true year after year. This much-awaited annual event has grown from a 30 booths in 2006 to 70, showcasing everything from affordably priced used designer bags, vintage clothes and fashion accessories to home decor, toys and sports equipment, donated by local celebs, expats and the public as well as members of the diplomatic community. Businesses have also donated their surplus stock and overruns while fashion houses have sold slightly-used catwalk outfits. This year will see the participation of the Bangkok Fashion Society. Finally, shoppers can join a Lucky Draw for a chance to win two airtickets, courtesy of Turkish Airline to any of the airline’s European destinations. The NewsMakers comprise Thailand Tatler editor Naphalai Areesorn; Bangkok Post editors MR Usnisa Sukhsvasti and Prapai Kraisornkovit; Sing Sian Yit Pao director, diplomat and Loxley Myanmar country manager Netra Ruthaiyanont; editor and writer Cora Sukhyanga; TV programme editor Lalana Santos; Four Seasons PR Manager for Thailand Annabelle Daokaew; The Mandarin Oriental PR Director Somsri Harnsrisawasdi; and celebrity landscape and interior architect ML Poomchai Chumbala.
