Bangkok Bank Senior Executive Vice President Virasak Suthanthavibul, Executive Vice Presidents Thongchai Ananthothai and Narin Opamuratawongse, and other executives joined the ‘Myanmar Global Investment Forum’ which was co-hosted by Bangkok Bank. The event was organized by Euromoney Conferences at the Myanmar International Conference Center, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar during 10-11 September 2013. The bank took representatives from government financial, trade, and investment organizations, business customers in Thailand and other business partners to join two sessions: ‘Banking and Financial Reform’ and ‘Succeeding as an Entrepreneur in Myanmar’. The sessions aimed to provide essential information for business and assist in investment strategy decision-making by customers considering investing in Myanmar. Bangkok Bank established a representative office in Myanmar 17 years ago and has formed cooperative partnerships with six banks in Myanmar. Bangkok Bank has an international network of 25 branches and the Myanmar representative office in 13 economies, mostly in South-East Asia and China. The bank is ready to support international trade and investment and invites those interested in doing business in Myanmar to contact the bank where they can benefit from its long experience and deep understanding of business operations in the local Myanmar environment.
