BIG today announced a big plan to upgrade its air separation facility in Chonburi, making it the country’s largest liquefied industrial gas production capacity. The company also debutsits integrated industrial gas complex, the largest, the first, and the only one in Thailand to offer the exclusive valuesincorporated in the complex with thewidest variety of industrial gas solutions and modes of supply. Coupled with its strategic location in the heart of the industrial clusters in the east of Thailand, BIG is ready to support Thailand’s growing industrial sector to become the world’s and the region’sproduction hub.

BIG’s Integrated Industrial Gas Complex is located in the Hemaraj(Chonburi) Industrial Estate (Bo Win). It operates to the world-class safety standard, supported by its parent company, Air Products and Chemicals Inc, the U.S. Fortune 500 company. Currently, the air separation unit in the industrial gas complex has liquefied gases with the production capacity of 500 tons per day. Upon completion of the expansion project with approximately 1 billion baht investment, the production capacity will be boosted to 920 ton per day, making this plant the largest liquefied gas capacity in Thailand while also strengthening BIG’s largest industrial gas position for the country. The facility features best-in-class production technologies and environmentally- friendly operational practice as standard.

BIG’s integrated industrial gas complex produces various types of gases critical to many manufacturing and services industries. Among them are oxygen, mostly used in the healthcare and medical service industry that needs supply consistency and high level of safety standard, as well as glass and steelmanufacturing, andwaste water treatment; nitrogen, mostly used in frozen products, foods, petrochemicals, electronics, and automotive industries; and hydrogen, mostly used in increasing efficiency in desulfurization process of oil refining industry or used as an alternative green energy for vehicles and public transport. Other gases offered at BIG’s industrial gas complex are argon, carbon dioxide and mixed gases for special, tailored demand.
