TUV Rheinland, one of the leaders in technical services for the power industry will be presenting its comprehensive portfolio of services for the energy industry at the Power-Gen Asia international trade fair from October 2-4, 2013 under the slogan “Tailwind for your project. Right from the start.”
Power-Gen Asia is one of the leading international trade fairs for the power industry. Over 7,000 visitors from 62 countries can meet experts from the 172 exhibiting companies and share information on the latest challenges and solutions for Asia’s energy future and power industry. At this year’s exhibition at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Exhibition & Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, the experts from TUV Rheinland will introduce the company’s full service portfolio dedicated to power generation and renewable energy sources for the entire power plant life cycle. Whether investors, operators, owners, contractors or manufacturers active in the energy and power generation industry, all will be provided with a comprehensive range of tailored services and information on the latest developments in this field and integrated services for all types of energy projects.
At the TUV Rheinland stand K34 in Hall 1, experts will showcase services such as construction supervision and supply chain services for power plants projects; advanced non-destructive testing, Risk and Condition Oriented Monitoring (RACOM) for plant operation; and more about pressure equipment, material technology, functional safety or explosion protection for manufacturers. On October 4th in session 8 at 9:00 am, Dr. Ansgar Kranz will hold an exclusive conference presentation addressing online-monitoring of creep and fatigue deformation of power plant components and talk about the new developments in sensor technology.
Additionally, TUV Rheinland experts will provide a side event on October 3, 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. During this side event, Rolf Schloesser, Head of Business Field Power Plants and Dr. Ansgar Kranz, Managing Director Material Testing will give a 60-minute presentation on quality defects during manufacturing of large boiler plants and the lessons learned from German and Asian manufacturing sites. Ouke Dijkstra, Business Development Manager Advanced Non-Destructive Testing, will then speak about advanced non-destructive testing applications to improve accuracy, time and cost efficiency during fabrication of power plant components. He will also give a live demonstration of test equipment.
