FedEx Cares Week Volunteers Enhance Bangkok’s Biggest “Green Lung”

Bangkok--25 Sep--Grayling (Thailand) A team of 65 FedEx Express (FedEx) volunteers joined representatives from Plant a Tree Foundation to plant 500 tree seedlings in the Suan Sri Nakhon Khuen Khan Park in Phra Pradaeng district on September 14. The tree seedlings were donated by FedEx, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, as part of FedEx Cares Week, an annual initiative where FedEx employees in 11 Asia Pacific markets participate in community projects between September 7 — 15. Known as Bangkok’s “Green Lung” the Suan Sri Nakhon Khuen Khan Park is a popular area in the capital’s biggest green zone - a 1,440 hectare space free of industrial and commercial development. The Phra Pradaeng tree planting is the fifth FedEx Cares Week sustainability program run in Thailand. Previous FedEx volunteer-led plantings have been held in Pra Pradaeng, Samut Prakarn, Mae Na Pak, Khao Yai and Nong Hoi.
