ELLE DECORATION Thailand comes to the final round of the annual competition “ELLE DECORATION Young Talent Design Project 2013”. This year’s concept is “What Dreams May Come”, also there are our exclusive judges who extensively well-known for architect and interior industry such as Mr. DuangritBunnag, Ms. TeeranujKannasutWongwaisayawan, along with Two-PopetornSoonthornyanakij and Noon-SirapanWattanajinda as special committees. The final round and winner awards ceremony will take place at a special venue on 1st floor, Eden Zone CentralWorld, on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
ELLE DECORATION Young Talent Design Project gives marvelous opportunities for design students and young designers in Thailand having passion for interior design and architecture in order to show their own potentials. They competed on designing a 76-square-meter space including bedroom, living room, pantry, and bathroom under the theme “What Dreams May Come” which is all about boundless imagination but also comfortably practical for modern lifestyle.
Since the midst of June to July, ELLE DECORATION Thailand has announced and promoted this project throughout many universities in Thailand. Subsequently, 20 finalists participated a workshop occurring at Sofitel So Bangkok Hotel, supervising by Mr. DuangritBunnag, together with gaining new challenging concepts from special guest—judges who participated as the owners of the house, Two-PopetornSoonthornyanakijand Noon-SirapanWattanajinda. After this workshop day, they carried on by building the models in the scale 1:10.
Last but not least, on Thursday, September 26, at Eden Zone CentralWorld, 1st floor, the distinguish committees, Mr. DuangritBunnag, Managing Director of DuangritBunnag Architect, featuring Ms. TeeranujKannasutWongwaisayawan, Managing Director of Architects 49; Mr. Norranit Suvanich, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE DECORATION Thailand; along with Two-PopetornSoonthornyanakijand Noon-SirapanWattanajinda; and the representatives of the project sponsors will select the winner and 2 runner-ups of ELLE DECORATION Young Talent Design Project 2013.
The victor will be granted 50,000 Baht, plus, a return ticket and a scholarship with accommodation for summer course in NABA or DOMUS Academy in Milan, Italy for two weeks. The event will exhibit contestants’ design pieces from 26 to 29 September on 1st floor, Eden zone CentralWorld.
