Festival lovers looking for an exciting way to celebrate this year’s Oktoberfest are invited to celebrate the world famous Oktoberfest with a “beerfest” at Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa. Start your leisurely evening with pre-dinner drinks at the Longtail Bar, with great live German Music, before boarding a magnificently restored antique rice barge from the Manohra Dining Cruise fleet, combining the pleasures of cruising the iconic River of Kings with the vibrant attractions of this world famous annual German event, this one of a kind voyage is designed for people who adore Germany’s renowned beers and traditional cuisine.
Travelling in the old world luxury of a beautifully restored antique rice barge, the Oktoberfest Cruise offers free flowing German beer and a traditional German buffet. Guests can enjoy endless selections of authentic appetisers and salads including “Geraeuchertes Forellenfilet” smoked trout fillet and “Wurstsalat” Julienne of Lyoner tossed with cheese, gherkins, onions and herbs. Flavourful soup creations comprise liver dumpling “Leberknoedelsuppe” and a “Kartoffelcremesuppe” rich potato soup with croutons. Hearty hot dishes feature highlights such as “Leberkaese” grilled meat loaf topped with a fried egg and sauerkraut, “Weisswuerstl” Bavarian veal sausages which are poached and served with sweet mustard and “Schweinshaxn” roasted ham hock with saut?ed potatoes and sauerkraut, accompanied by a host of vegetarian dishes and a selection of traditional German breads. Irresistible desserts tempt diners with delights like “Apfelstrudel” Munich apple strudel and “Prinzregententorte” hazelnut nougat cake with vanilla sauce.
Getting into the festive spirit is even more enjoyable with great live German music, culminating in the ultimate beer, buffet and entertainment cruise.
The Oktoberfest Cruise is available every day from 15th —21st October 2013. Pre-dinner drinks at the Longtail Bar with live German Music starts from 5:30 pm — 7:30 pm, guests can enjoy an la carte menu for snacks and beverages, with continuous free flow German beer and soft drinks, as well as a traditional German buffet on board Manohra Cruise for THB 1,700++ per person.
