Bangkok--3 Oct--St. Stephen's International School
Last month Khun Vichurat Amornwatpong, from WWF Thailand, visited St Stephen’s to receive a presentation cheque in the sum of 100,000 baht and to address the pupils about the work that WWF are carrying out here in Thailand. The money was raised during St. Stephen’s International Day last term, and the students voted for the World Wide Fund for Nature to be the recipient of the money raised.
We hope that we will be able to work in partnership with the WWF in the near future to help us here at St Stephen’s to learn more about conservation work and developing a sustainable world and in supporting WWF in their work here in Thailand. Such a partnership would take the form of visits from WWF staff to our school to provide different classroom experiences for our pupils; and for our pupils to embark on residential trips around Thailand undertaking hands on, practical experiences, as well as the more traditional fund raising efforts.
