Taking place from 2-4 October 2013, the 21st annual POWER-GEN Asia returns to Bangkok for the 6th time, and hosted the Joint Opening Keynote Session this morning which included presentations from Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, Deputy Director-General, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy; Dr. Piyasvasti Amranand, Chairman, Energy for Environment Foundation; Mr. Soonchai Kumnoonsate, Governor, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand; and Mr. Markus Lorenzini, Head of Energy Sector, ASEAN-Pacific Cluster, Siemens, Indonesia.
After the Opening Keynote Session, the Exhibition Floor was officially opened with the Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting, performed by all Keynote Speakers, who were joined by Chiruit Isarangkun, Vice President Administration & Strategic Support, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
The POWER-GEN Asia and Renewable Energy World Asia Exhibition Floor hosts over 200 exhibitors, whilst the ongoing Conference Sessions run concurrently over 6 conference tracks, under the theme of ”Advancing Asia’s Energy Future”.
On the 3rd October the Exhibition Floor and Conference Sessions will continue to be open, with registration still available. Highlights include the POWER-GEN Asia Plenary Panel Discussion, taking place under the subject of “Asian Power — 2020 Vision”. This session takes place at 14:00.
