Bangkok--10 Oct--Ogilvy Public Relations Influential speakers to join ITU Telecom World 2013Key ICT players to convene in Bangkok, 19-22 November Leading lights from government and industry will join forces at ITU Telecom World 2013 to explore the best and most beneficial ways to embrace change in a digital world. The event, which will be hosted for the first time by Thailand, will be held from 19-22 November 2013 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Group Captain Anudith Nakornthap, Minister of Information and Communications Technology, said, “Participation from Thai ICT leaders as panelists at the ITU Telecom World 2013 is crucial to drive Thailand’s commitment to support the global ICT industry development and to become the ICT hub in this region.” Speakers from Thailand at ITU Telecom World 2013 are - Group Capt. Anudit Nakornthap, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, who will participate in the Forum Opening Conversation on 19 November 2013 on “Embracing Change in a Digital World” - Dr. Prasit Prapinmongkolkarn, Emeritus Professor and Chair Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, to join the Panel Session on “Riding the Data Wave” on 19 November 2013 - Dr. Suthiphon Thaveechaiyagarn, Commissioner, National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), to join the Panel Session on “Convergence of Regulations” on 19 November 2013 - Dr. Sinchai Kamolphiwong, President, IPv6 Forum Thailand, who will be a panelist at a Showfloor Session on “The Internet of Everything based on IPv6” on 20 November 2013 - Dr. Choedchai Khannabha, Advisor to NBTC Commissioner, The National Broadcasting and telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand, to be a panelist at a Showfloor Session on “Resilient ICT for Disaster Relief” on 20 November 2013 - Mr. Jon Eddy Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer, Total Access Communication PLC (dtac), to be a panelist on “Many Faces of Mobile Financial Services” on 22 November 2013 The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) will also host a session on 20 November 2013 at 16.15-17.45 hrs. on “Mobile Security Challenges and Policy in the ASEAN Community: Consumer Protection Perspectives”. Leaders from the ASEAN region are invited to discuss how to protect consumers from rising malware threats in the cyber world. It will focus on consumer protection perspectives of the ASEAN Community which will incorporate and share common policies on mobile security.
