Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC (SSI) gained Outstanding Accomplishment in Annual General Meeting Assessment and Excellence Accomplishment in the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies. SSI was appraised with: 1) Outstanding Accomplishment under the Quality of Annual General Meeting (AGM) Project 2013 from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Thai Investors Association (TIA) and the Thai Listed Companies Association and 2) Excellent Accomplishment in corporate governance report survey from the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) in cooperation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). The accomplishment was aimed at keeping track of the growth of listed companies and support good corporate governance among the companies.
In addition, these recognitions reflect the determination of SSI in promoting its annual general meeting and adhering to good corporate governance by focusing on rights, equitable treatment and roles of stakeholders and disclosure, transparency and board responsibilities. These will support SSI’s competitive edge to move forward to attend ASEAN Economic Community.
