Sithjadaeng(7-3, 2 KOs) is coming up on his two-year anniversary as a boxing pro, having fought 15 matches as an amateur,after his successful Muay Thai careergained him eight provincial titles. At 22years old,the 5’4” right-hander will be fighting outside of Thailand for only the second time, after a bout against Ryo Matsumoto took him to Japan last year. Sithjadaenghas stayed very active in his young career as a pro boxer, with five fightsthus far in 2013, and another five the year before, following a victorious debut in November 2011.With the Cotai Arena sure to have a strong Hong Kong contingent in the crowd supporting local favourite Tso, Sithjadaeng will have as much of a mental battle to fight as a physical one to prove he’s a boxer to be reckoned with.
Sithjadaeng’s adversary, the 26-year-old “Wonder Kid” Tso (10-0, 6 KOs) will be looking to maintain his perfect record and beef up his reputation as a rising young contender, after having given impressive performanceswhile fighting opponents with much more experience.Boxing since the age of 16, the 5’7” left-hander considers himself an aggressive fighter who tries to win every round, preferring to lead the fight and move in to go toe-to-toe with his opponents.
In addition to the Sithjadaeng-Tso brawl, the Nov. 24 The Clash in Cotai undercard also includes popular Chinese flyweightZouShiming (2-0), the headliner of April’s Fists of Gold and July’s Fists of Gold IIevents, looking for his third win as a pro. And of course, the highly-anticipated main event is the 12-round welterweight rumble between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao(54-5-2, 38 KOs)andBrandon “Bam Bam” Rios(31-1-1, 22 KOs).Pacquiao, the Fighter of the Decade, three-time Fighter of the Year,and lone congressional representative from the Sarangani province in the Philippines, is coming off of two straight losses after a phenomenal seven-year, 15-bout winning streak.His 18-year pro career has earned him eight world titles in as many weight divisions — a first for the sport.His opponent, Rios,the No. 1 contender from Oxnard, Calif., isone of boxing’s most exciting fighters and a former world champion himself, known for his all-action, fan-friendly fighting style.He won 11 of his previous 14 fights by knockout, and his last two fights were named as Fights of the Year.
