Indorama Ventures launches RECO Young Designer Competition 2013 at Siam Discovery.
Design for Life concept to add value to people’s lives by encouraging recycling of
PET and Polyester by Design Students
Mr. Richard Jones, Vice President of Indorama Ventures Public Company (far right), Ms. Aradhana Lohia (3rd left) and Mr. Yashovardhan Lohia (2nd left) officially launched the new RECO Young Designer Competition 2013 recently at Siam Discovery. Also present were three of the six competition judges, Ms. Nhoo Matthews of Nhoo Matthews Evening Dress and Bridal Gown (2nd right), Mr. Nattawat Sivara of CIDI (3rd right) and Ms. Siriwan Tempati, editor of Living Etc. Magazine. This year promises to be exciting for contestants as other judges include Dr. Singh Intrachooto of Kasetsart University, Pipat (Top) Piruktanakorn of Siam Square’s Eco Shop and Apiwat (Num) Yosprapan of Praew Magazine.
The competition theme for 2013 is Design for Life and is divided into two categories - fashion design and product design. The new generation of non-professional and student designers is encouraged to enter the competition using recycled and re-used PET and Polyester to produce eco-friendly products that could be used in everyday life.
