KBank aims for 1 million K-Express Cash cardholders, offering a free trip to the Maldives for winners of “Marry Me!” video clip sharing and posting campaign

Bangkok--5 Nov--KASIKORNBANK KASIKORNBANK aims 1 million K-Express Cash cardholders by the end of 2013, introducing the “Marry Me!” campaign ahead of the most popular period for couples to get married, from the end of this year to early next year. Participant submitting a video clip of their wedding or a marriage proposal for the contest with the most shared clip, and participant who clicks “Share” the most often in the campaign, will win a free honeymoon package to the Maldives and other prizes totaling more than 1 million Baht. The promotional campaign is available until February 28, 2014. Mr. Chatchai Payuhanaveechai, Executive Vice President of KASIKORNBANK, said the Bank aims to see 1 million K-Express Cash cardholders by the end of 2013, focusing on working-age customers and newlywed couples which are the main targets for this product. According to Kasikorn Research Center, over the past five to six years, more than 300,000 Thai couples registered marriages each year, of which 80-90 percent use marriage-related services costing approximately 500,000 Baht to 1 million Baht per couple. Given such costs, many may need loans to finance their expenses. KBank, thus, introduces “Marry Me!” by K-Express Cash to place emphasis on KBank’s lifestyle banking awareness; that responds to the financial needs during every step of customers’ lives. K-Express Cash should meet their cash demands for necessities, emergencies, and major events in life including marriage, which sometimes results in costs overrunning. The Bank’s service aims to fulfill their life expectations by supporting these expenditures. KBank customers and the general public are invited to join this campaign by submitting video clips of their weddings or marriage proposals for the contest, or they can also participate by clicking “Share” the posted video clips in this campaign, and thereby win prizes worth more than 1 million Baht. The owner of the most shared clip and the participant who clicks “Share” the most often will be awarded a free honeymoon package at Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives, with an Over Water Bungalow for two persons, valued at a total of 130,000 Baht. The second most shared clip will win a Cape Panwa Phuket Hotel package and Bangkok-Phuket airline tickets for two persons, valued at a total of 35,600 Baht. The third most shared clip will win a Cape Nidhra hotel package, Hua Hin, for two persons, worth 24,000 Baht. Interested persons can submit video clips at www.kasikornbank.com/kexpresscash until February 28, 2014, while winners will be announced by mid April 2014. Clips being posted on the website will win KBank’s “Occasional Gift Cheque Set” worth 500 Baht per clip. Customers and the general public may participate in the program by clicking “Share” the posted clips at the website www.kasikornbank.com/kexpresscash to earn rights for drawing entries. Applications for K-Express Cash submitted and approved during the campaign earn the participants 20 entries; these customers can earn an additional 10 entries with each “Share” click. Current KBank customers automatically earn five entries with each “Share” click, while the general public earns one entry with each “Share” click. Eight prizes of Maldives honeymoon packages will be awarded. The Bank also introduces another promotional campaign with a 2,590 Baht Caggioni wheeled suitcase offered for new K-Express Cash customers who apply for the service alone and access 50,000 Baht or more through Cash Day One or Call for Express Cash. Customers who apply in pairs and jointly access 100,000 Baht or more are offered a Kantary Hotel room voucher valued at up to 6,000 Baht, available until February 28, 2014. Mr. Chatchai added that the personal loan business is currently facing intense competition. From the end of this year towards early next year, the personal loan drawdown will seasonally increase. KBank’s current personal loans totaled 36 billion Baht, with main target customers earning 15,000 Baht or more per month. The Bank expects to see approximately 100,000 new K-Express Cash cards under this campaign.
