Bangkok--6 Nov--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will hold “SET Young Generation 2013” workshops so that more than 3,000 university seniors nationwide can learn how to plan their lives and finances from gurus.
SET Executive Vice President Bordin Unakul said that SET Young Generation was a SET social activity to enhance learning for Thai youth. This event focuses on university seniors, teaching them how to manage their funds effectively, because they are beginning their working lives and are a major power to drive the country’s economic growth. The event is being held for the third year after previously gaining more than 10,000 participants from 32 universities nationwide. For this year, more than 3,000 students are expected to join the event.
This year’s SET Young Generation 2013 focuses on the concept “Create a clear life plan” to inspire students to set professional goals and plan their finances to achieve them. The event will be held in November at universities in six provinces — Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pathum Thani, Surat Thani, Chonburi, and Khon Kaen. Students will learn from experts, view video clips online and study a handbook from www.tsi-thailand.org/SETYoungGen. This handbook can be downloaded for free via SET e-book or AIS Book Store. Online learning is expected to draw more than 100,000 users this year.
