Mr. Suwat Chaopreecha, President of EIT said that EIT and Impact Exhibition Management co-organize “National Engineering Conference and Thailand Engineering Expo 2013” under the concept of “70 years of Thai’s Engineering, growing with AEC” as an engineering and technology event of year. The event will be from 14 to 17 November 2013 at Challenger 3 Impact Muang Thong Thani. This event will be a platform for Thai’s engineers to exchange their ideas and innovations, advancing the state of practice and strengthen the economy for the upcoming Asian Economic Community or AEC in 2015.
Mr. Suwat Chaopreecha states that the “National Engineering Conference and Thailand Engineering Expo 2013” consists of 2 main events. The first one is the Thailand Engineering Expo where over 250 worldwide leading engineering organizations and companies will present their innovations and technologies. In addition, there will be free “Engineering Clinic” providing free consultant to public on house related problems such as repair of crackings or settlements, construction contracts, contractor problems, etc. Moreover, there will be a competition on energy conservation innovations.
The second event will be seminars and panel discussions from famous gurus in engineering fields on over 40 topics of public interest, such as the “2.2 trillion baht mega project for infrastructure development”, “Get ready for the upcoming AEC”, “Future of 3G and 4G, the turning point of Thailand”, and “Renovate your house the right way”. These seminars allow engineers to expand their knowledge and skills, as well as to promote state-of-the art technologies and innovative ideas to the engineering communities.
Mr. Krai Tangsanga, Chaiman of the organizing committee, said that the last year’s event was a huge success with lots of government units, companies, engineers, students, and general public attending the event. For this year, to enhance Thai engineers’ competitiveness in the world market and get ready for the AEC, we offer over 40 seminars covering the fields of Computer, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Automotive, Mechanical, Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum engineering, as well as multidisciplinary engineering.
“Not only this event will be a showcase of engineering advancements in various fields; there will also be panel discussions on the engineering commitments under the upcoming AEC, especially the development of education standards, and standards of practice. It is aimed that the discussions will provide directions and ground rules for the development of standards of practice, which all engineering organizations in Thailand will follow”. said Dr. Kamol Takabut, President of the Council of Engineers.
The highlights of the exhibition includes Chevron’s Delo Gold Ultra, a diesel engine lubricating oil that can run for more than 30,000 kilometers. Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) will display their electric car and charging station. Bouygues-Thai will showcase its solar farms technology. Moreover, SCG will introduce self-healing concrete technology.
