A not-for-profit organization dedicating to child and youth development, SCG Foundation is launching a campaign "Best Time Best Moment" to encourage parents to snap and share shot or videos while they are reading stories to their children, from now until 9 December 2013. This campaign aims to inspire Thai society to make use of reading in their parenting. Every family participating in the Best Time Best Moment shall be given a picture book produced by The Bring Good Books to Thai Children Program. The three families that receive the highest votes from online community shall receive a gift set of quality, world’s best-selling and classic books produced by The 6th Bring Good Books to Thai Children Program, as well as to receive many other privileges from SCG Foundation. Suvimol Chivaluk, SCG Foundation’s Director and Manager, said that "SCG Foundation has been taking the lead in fostering a culture of early child development through books and a sustainable culture of reading in Thai society for more than a decade. The launch of "Best Time Best Moment" shall inspire parents with children from the age of 0-6 years to realize the importance of reading stories and books. They will make use of picture books for their child development regularly. By reading to them 10-15 minutes per day, it will help to develop various skills of a child including Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Moral Quotient (MQ), Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Social Quotient (SQ). In addition, books help to broaden the imagination of a child and instill the reading habit that will stay with them for life.”
Any interested parents can participate in the "Best Time Best Moment" by SCG Foundation simply by sending us snapshots or uploading video clips showing the most impressive moment when parents reading stories to their children from the age of 0-6 years. The links to the snapshots or video to SCG Foundation’s fanpage at www.facebook.com/SCGFoundation.ECD. Otherwise, please upload your pictures via Instagram application with a tag “#SCGFoundation”. Every parent who sends or tags us photos or video shall receive a picture book from SCG Foundation as your compliment. The three pictures or video clips that receive the highest number of “like” and “share” shall earn the parents an award including a gift set of quality, world best-selling and classic books translated and produced by good books for Thai children project in its sixth year of operation and to be launched by year end. In addition, they shall receive many other privileges from SCG Foundation. The names of the lucky parents shall be announced on 11 December 2013.
