New Zealand global security leader Gallagher has announced plans to expand its operations in Thailand to support growing needs of the ASEAN countries.
Sir William Gallagher, CEO of Gallagher joined the official visit of New Zealand Prime Minister to Bangkok this month as the company prepares to open an office and further grow its business in the region.
The company already supports customers in more than 160 countries, and is extending its reach to Thailand and surrounding countries following increasing demand from the Asian market.
The region has experienced a changing attitude towards security in recent years, with many countries, for example, adopting national identification card systems. This is driven by a requirement for better performance and accuracy throughout business, while on-going threats from criminal and terrorist activity have also spurred demand.
Sir William explained: “The continued growth of Asian markets provides a range of opportunities and prospects for Gallagher. The region, like many others, is developing a new understanding of the importance of comprehensive security systems which not only ensure the safety of employees at work, but vitally reinforcing business continuity. Supported by our growing team and network of channel partners, the company is fully focused on further developing our presence in this innovative and industrious region.”
Asia’s boost in infrastructure projects have supported the wider economic expansion. The healthcare, education and retail sectors offer particular opportunities for Gallagher’s security technology and equipment, which has already integrated access and perimeter installations at a number of high profile institutions, including The Bank of Thailand and Siemens Airport Rail Link. The Security business development team are well placed to continue market development by providing exceptional leading-edge integrated security technology solutions.
Gallagher’s Bangkok office will be open and operational by the end of the year and company is currently recruiting staff to support this activity.
