Bangkok--22 Nov--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has granted awards to winners of the online simulation securities and derivatives trading “Click2Win Campus League 2013,” which successfully drew more than 6,800 university students from 18 universities nationwide to participate. The top two winners in securities trading and derivatives trading gained the highest returns of 140 percent from securities trading and 376 percent from derivatives trading, reflecting that Thai young generation is keen on investment increasingly.
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said that Click2Win Campus League is one of SET activities to enhance the young generation’s expertise in managing savings through investing, thus developing prudent investors for the capital market. SET cooperated with 9 leading securities firms this year to mentor undergraduates from 18 universities. SET believed that Click2Win would encourage newcomers to invest online, as this means of accessing information and trading was becoming increasingly popular.
“The very high return scores for these winners after the two-month-long competition reflect the efficient learning of university students, showing their abilities to learn excellent financial planning, become role models for their peers, and develop themselves to become prudent investors,” Charamporn concluded.
