Mr. Steven Sim (left), Chief Executive Officer, International Copper Association Southeast Asia (ICASEA), together with Mr. Attila Nyitrai (middle left), Minister-Counsellor, Deputy Head of Delegation, European Union, Dr. Twarath Sutabutr (middle right), Deputy Director-General, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy Thailand, and Dr. Hardiv Harris Situmeang (right), Executive Director, ASEAN Centre for Energy, recently launched ‘ASEAN SHINE’, an energy efficiency promotion program co-funded by the European Union and managed by ICASEA. This four-year project aims to elevate product performance in household appliances and harmonize energy efficiency standards within ASEAN, which could boost trade in the region by as much as 4.55% and save a potential THB 21.5 billion in energy costs.
