Swiss grinding machine manufacturer Fritz Studer AG introduces STUDER S11, cylindrical grinding machinefor the first time in Asia at Metalex 2013, ASEAN’s largest international machine tools and metal technologies trade exhibition. Studer’s latest and smallest grinding machine is tailor-made for workpieces of up to 200 mm in length. Whilebeing extremely compact, it delivers the performance that will amaze even experienced grinding specialists.
STUDER S11 has been designed and developed specially for Asian customers. A two-year research conducted in different Asian markets including Thailand suggested that a large quantity of parts produced in the region are those not exceeding 200 mm. in length. STUDER S11 not only answers the needs of manufacturers in this segment but also sets the new industry standard with its “compactness”, saving the floor space while delivering higher level of productivity.
The company is very confident about its latest development. Rolf Grossenbacher, Sales Director of Fritz Studer AG said, “STUDER S11 is the first of its kind in the market. It embodies an extremely compact design paired with high productivity and Swiss precision”.
Asia is expanding at a considerably high growth rate at present. Thailand, in particular, has drawn a lot of foreign investments due to its geographical advantage and availability of skilled workers. The needs for machine tools remain high with an expected growth rate of 20%.
“We are working closely with DKSH, our exclusive distributor in Thailand, to introduce this new product into the market. With their long experience in offering solutions in the areas of manufacturing and production, we believe STUDER S11 will have strong presence in the market”, added Grossenbacher.
