Phuket King?s Cup Regatta Organising Committee, led by its President, Kevin Whitcraft, joined with Pamuke Achariyachai, President of Kata Group Resorts Thailand and Host Sponsor, Maitree Inthusud, Phuket Governor; and Vadm.Taratorn Kajitsuwan Commander, Third Naval Area Command Third Naval Area Command to host the official Opening Ceremony of the 27th Phuket King?s Cup Regatta. The Opening Ceremony took place at Kata Beach Resort & Spa to mark the beginning of race week, which is held from 1-6 December 2013. The ceremony was attended by VIPs, media and hundreds of sailors from around the world.
The official opening ceremony of the renowned Thai yachting spectacle was sponsored by Kata Group Resorts Thailand, which is the host sponsor of the Phuket King?s Cup Regatta for this 16th year.
