Glow SPP 11 Co., Ltd., part of Glow group of companies, owns and operates power plants with 287 MW power generation capacity, together with associated infrastructure and facilities in Siam Eastern Industrial Park. On 19 December 2013, Glow signed a contract with Wärtsilä for the construction of an additional gas engine power plant with net output of ca. 19 MW. The project is expected to be completed within first quarter of 2015.
Mr. Esa Heiskanen, Chief Executive Officer of GLOW Group, said that the expansion is necessary due to a continuous increase of energy demand in the Siam Eastern Industrial Park. The expansion project will further increase stability of electricity supply by Glow SPP 11 with high efficiency and modern technology, world class environmental management systems and construction activities strictly in line with the approved Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report.
