Bangkok--6 Jan--Siam Motors In 2015, Thailand will enter ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). In line with this important event, Yamaha Music School will change its logo to increase the awareness of its network of music schools nationwide, while simultaneously becoming more prominent in an international arena. Under the name of Yamaha Music School, we are strategically ready to strengthen the music study of Thai youths commencing on January 1, 2014. Ms. Pranapda Phornprapha, President of Siam Music Yamaha Co., Ltd., reveals that “In 1965, Siam Motors jointly invested with Yamaha Corporation of Japan to establish Siam Music Yamaha Co., Ltd. to operate music schools in Thailand. For 47 successful years, the company has continuously provided music study to Thai youths. Located on Rama 1 road, Pathumwan, the first Yamaha music school opened on 27 April 1966 and was the first music school in Thailand. In 2014, the company has a policy to change the logo of its music schools in Thailand in order to get ready for the AEC and to create the new image for the schools in line with the growth of music school business in global market. To this end, the company has changed the logo of all its music schools to have the same name and standards nationwide under the name of “Yamaha Music School”. With this strategy, we are strongly confident that all students will enjoy music courses under high-quality Yamaha Music Education System that features a network of 40 countries worldwide and certified by Yamaha Music Foundation in Japan. More importantly, there will be more circulation of students and teachers in Yamaha courses between each country which will help elevate the standards of teaching, learning and grading of music study to be more international. Ms.Pranapda further reveals that “With the world-class standards of Yamaha music courses and the new logo of Yamaha Music School, we will be able to fully serve the needs of those who wish to study music in Thailand. Today, we are ready to change our image with the new logo in order to cope with the fast-changing market. Our new logo will be launched on January 1, 2014 and it is expected to increase the confidence among business partners who are owners of Yamaha music schools nationwide.” In addition, Yamaha Music School also has strengths in its world-class “Yamaha Music Worldwide Education System” from Japan. Today, the company boasts 90 music schools across the country, including 47 schools in Bangkok and its perimeter, 35 in other provinces and 6 Yamaha Popular Music Schools. What’s more, we plan to continuously expand our music school business with the target to reach 100 schools within 2015. At the same time, we will place greater emphasis on improving our courses to be more international by adding English courses such as JMC English Course for 4-year-old children. The course will focus on both music study and entertainment which make it different from courses from other schools which focuses on entertainment only. “The company has continuously developed the skills of Thai youths while simultaneously upgrading the standards of music teachers. At the same time, the company has consistently improved its courses and has signed the MOU with the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, to develop Music Engineering and Multimedia course in the Bachelor’s Degree in order to train personnel to enable Thailand to become the hub of entertainment and event in ASEAN. The company has also joined forces with the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, to develop the quality of music and dance study. In addition, the company has trained music teachers for the music program of Triam Udom Suksa for studying in leading universities both domestically and internationally while opening music school at Mahasarakham University to produce personnel for music industry,” said Ms. Pranapda.
