Bangkok Post Foundation and Black Mountain Golf Club Hua Hin recently organized ‘The 2014 Bangkok Post – Black Mountain Charity Golf & Gourmet Dinner’, a one-of- a-kind charity golf tournament and a grand dinner at Black Mountain Golf Club Hua Hin. Proceeds of 4,000,000.- Baht, without any deductions, is allocated 50% for school construction and all-purposed building for 4 schools including Naresuan Baan Ta Kror School and Bann Hauy Khrai School in Hua Hin district; Baan Padeng School and Naresuan Huay Sok school in Kangkrachan district. The rest of the fund will go to support education of underprivileged school children across Thailand.
The charity swing program was joined by many generosity of high-mind golfers including M.R.Pridiyathorn Devakula, Korn Chatikavanij, Worachai Bhicharnchitr, Dhongchai Lamsam, Karn Thongyai, Dr.Narongchai Akrasanee, Dr.Sompop Charoenkul, Chatchai Boonyarat, Tawan Na Ranong, Patinya Kuantrakul, Sumonrat Wattanaselarat, Roy Barrett, Hakan Palm, Bandit Rojanawongse, Arin Jira and many more.
Amidst the fresh air at the beautiful and hilly Black Mountain Golf Club, the day started with a golf clinic showcase by top professional golfers led by Thongchai Jaidee, Swedish star Johan Edfors, a Scottish golfer Simon Yates, Swedish star Rikard Karlberg, Swedish golfer Fredrik Andersson Hed, Swedish golfer Pelle Edberg, American golfer Berry Henson, David Palm and Thai Rising star Atiwit Janewattananond. This showcase offered guests excellent chance to get close up with world-famous golf players. The fun-filled day was treated through the award-winning 18-hole golf course.
In the evening, the club house was turned into superb venue for gourmet dining and barbecue buffet dinner by 14 of country’s leading executive chefs from five-star establishments. The culinary excellence by 14 top chefs included pasta a la minute station, seafood, superb Spanish paella & Tapas, creative canapés, carving station, barbeque and variety desserts. Despite the casual and relax atmosphere, the evening promised great gastronomy dinner by tremendous teamwork among these top chefs since they rarely get together. In addition, there was a charity auction on a golf putter from Thongchai Jaidee which also raised 200,000 Baht for the charity after the winning prize presentation.
