Resort’s BAG to School Campaign In Celebration Of National Children’s Day
On the occasion of National Children’s Day 2014 in Thailand on Saturday 11 January, JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa presented over 250 school bags and stationary sets to five local schools and three governor’s offices.
The B@G to School campaign is the latest in the resort’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, as part of Marriott’s Spirit to Serve our Community initiative in which the company seeks to give back to society and the communities in which its properties are located.
Starting in November 2013 and leading up to National Children’s Day in January, school bags were available for purchase by colleagues, friends and resort guests to help raise funds for the campaign.
On Christmas Eve, JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa guests were treated to a wonderful session of Christmas carol singing by resort staff together with children from Tha Chat Chai School, who each received a school bag as a gift on the evening.
On Friday 10 January, JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa staff also visited schools to hand out gifts to the school kids and enjoyed plenty of photo taking opportunities with the youngsters.
