(Macao, Jan. 21, 2014) –Shoppes, the largest luxury duty-free shopping experience in Macao,is bringing visitors an exciting line-up of activities and giveaways this Chinese New Year as part of the “Prosperity at Cotai Strip” festivities at Cotai Strip Resorts Macao, including limited-edition gift sets and a magnificent set of artistic Chinese zodiac balloon statues for the Year of the Horse as the main feature in St. Mark’s Square. Chinese Zodiac Sculptures and More
From Jan. 13 until Feb. 28, 2014, visitors to Shoppes will have a chance to admire and take photos of 12 beautiful Chinese zodiac modern art sculptures on display at Shoppes at Four Seasons, Shoppes at Venetian and Shoppes at Cotai Central, created in the contemporary style of shining, colourful balloon animals. Two same-day receipts of MOP 1,388 or more will enable shoppers to receive a package of specially designed limited-edition lai see packets, while stocks last, and two same-day receipts of MOP 6,888 or more will net shoppers a lucky purple horse statue to commemorate the Year of the Horse.
Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony
A lion dance performance is undeniably an essential part of the Chinese New Year celebrations;Shoppes visitors can enjoy lion dances at St. Mark’s Square at Shoppes at Venetian at 2 and 5 p.mon Jan. 31, 2014; and daily at 5 p.m. from Feb. 1 to 9, 2014. A special lion dance will take place Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Square, and again Feb. 4 at 11a.m. at Shoppes at Four Seasonsand 12:30 p.m. at Shoppes at Cotai Central.
God of Fortune Lai SeePacket Distribution
Shoppes visitors can also receive a blessing of luck while shopping for gifts during Chinese New Year. The God of Fortunewill circulate daily throughout Shoppes from noon to 6 p.m. from Jan. 31 until Feb. 6, distributing lai seepackets to lucky visitors, with special offers and surprises from retailers enclosed.
Shoppes Online Game
From Jan. 27 to Feb. 14, shoppers can visit and subscribeat http://weibo.com/shoppescotai for an online game. Shoppers are asked to share a post describing their ideal shopping experience at Shoppes – maybe a perfect schedule, a place worthy of visiting, an enjoyable environment – and to tag three Weibo friends in order to participate in the game. The best six stories will be selected, with the top three winning a Fabulous Travel Package; two first runners-up will win two VIP tickets to see a Hong Kong superstar in concert; and one second runner-up will win a gift of a luxury German travel luggage piece.
