Golden Ribbed Bead Collection- the 24K matte gold overlay jewelry set reproduced from the Museum’s collection-- a striking gold earring from Persia (11th–13th century) It was originally fabricated out of sheets of gold and decorated with granulation, an exacting technique in which tiny gold granules are fused to the metal surface. This earring’s bold, ribbed beads and sophisticated design bear testament to the artistry of Persian metalsmiths. Our refined collection is adapted from this elegant ornament. The collection features earrings, necklace and bracelet with a price range of 3,500 -10,700.- Baht. Persian Lion's Head Collection - Two gold lion-head plaques from Achaemenid Persia (6th century–4th century B.C.) in the Museum’s collection closely resemble the horned lion-griffin heads on a glazed- tile frieze excavated at Susa. The roaring lion also appears on drinking vessels, furniture, textiles, and giant column capitals. These ancient adornments are the source for our dramatic collection. The collection offers head pin, earrings and necklace with a price range of 2,800 – 12,600.- Baht. Japanese Medallions Scarf- the silk crepe de chine in red and gold scraf. In Edo Japan (1615–1868), stacked, nested boxes, called inro, were specifically designed to hold medicine or ink seals. Often made of lavishly decorated lacquer, these costly and beautiful inro (primarily used by men) became essential fashion accessories that also acted as markers of wealth. Our captivating scarf design is adapted from the lacquered medallions on a nineteenth-century inro in the Museum’s collection. The scarf is priced at 3,500.- Baht.
