“Nadda Buranasiri” became the first Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia X Co. Ltd. after it received its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the Department of Civil Aviation of Thailand this past 3 February.
With its AOC, Thai AirAsia X may now apply for flight operations permission as well as flight schedules. The airline is poised to officially announce its Bangkok-based flight schedule immediately after securing permission.
AirAsia X appointed Mr. Nadda Buranasiri as the first ever Chief Executive Officer of its Thai entity in acknowledgement of his over 20 years of experience in administrating the international affairs of global organizations. His most recent post was as Managing Director of Warner Music (Thailand) Co. Ltd.

Mr. Nadda Buranasiri, CEO of Thai AirAsia X, remarked that his most important challenge at present was assembling the Thai AirAsia X team. In its first year, Thai AirAsia X has secured contracts for Airbus A330-300 337 seat airplanes from AirAsia X Berhad to commence service from Don Mueng International Airport, Bangkok.
Thai AirAsia X’s Airbus A330-300 planes sport 365 economy class seats and 12 business class specification seats. The airline is also the first low fare carrier to introduce Premium Flatbed seats, which have standard business class specifications of 20” width, 60” pitch and stretch out to 77” in full recline position. The Premium flatbeds feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests, a reading light and privacy screens. Premium seat guests also enjoy premium complimentary products and services including Pick A Seat, Priority Check-in, Priority Boarding, Priority Baggage, 20kg Baggage Allowance, Complimentary Hot Meal and Pillow & Duvet.
AirAsia X was awarded the World’s Best Low Cost Airline Premium Seat and the World's Best Low Cost Airline Premium Class titles at the 2013 Skytrax World Airline Awards which took place at the Paris Airshow.
