Bangkok--7 Feb--Siam PR Consultant Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) celebrates its 120th anniversary of operation in Thailand sets to launch “Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield 2014” campaign. The SC Trophy 2014 is a futsal tournament in search of the best futsal team to represent Thailand for the amateur futsal tournament with 13 other representative teams from 14 countries. The final leg will be played at the famous Anfield Stadium. Winner will receive exclusive experience that includes an Anfield tour to the practice field, training room and the Liverpool FC Museum in England with prize totaling 1.4 million baht. Ms. Lyn Kok, President and Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) Public Company Limited revealed in year 2014 the bank will be celebrating its 120th anniversary of operation in Thailand. For more than a century, the bank has earned the trust of various customers and clients and aims to deepen its relationship via various activities. Riding on the back of the last year’s success, Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) is launching second installment of its exclusive futsal tournament campaign, “Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield 2014.” This is the second year that the best futsal team in Thailand will have a chance to represent the Kingdom to complete in the final international leg against 13 other national teams from 14 countries. The winning team will be awarded a trophy with over 1.4 million baht prize in cash. The campaign’s goal is to offer money-can’t-buy experience to the customers of the bank. “To capitalize on our success from last year’s Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield 2013 that gained popularity among our customers and the general public, Standard Chartered Bank, as the main sponsor of the Liverpool Club, is planning to expand our market to reach new target groups using a sport marketing strategy. “Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield 2014” will therefore be offered to our customers again. It is our aim to provide exclusive and money-can’t-buy experience to our most important stakeholders. The SC Trophy 2014 tournament also coincides with our 120th anniversary celebration. Each participating team is required to place 600 baht application fee and the team will receive one limited edition Liverpool gift card upon application submission. The application period is now open until 16 February 2014, while the qualifying rounds will be held in major cities, such as Chiang Mai, Rayong and Bangkok. Sixteen teams that pass the qualifying rounds will compete to be the winning team that will later represent Thailand in the final round at Anfield Stadium, home of the Liverpool Football Club. The qualifying rounds will take place during 23 February – 23 March 2014, and the first match will be at Chiang Mai United Football Stadium, Chiang Mai. Moreover, from the 16 teams in the final round of “Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield 2014”, the winning team will receive a cash prize of 50,000 baht and will be a representative team to take part in the Road to Anfield 2014 at Anfield, Liverpool Football Club, England. The prizes include a trophy and cash prizes worth over 1.4 million baht. The members of the winning team will also win an exclusive training session with Liverpool coaches and legend players as well as the Anfield tour to the practice field, the training room and the Liverpool FC Museum. The other 15 teams will be given the following prizes. The 2nd place team will receive 100,000baht cash prize, while the 3rd – 4th place teams will receive 50,000 baht/team. The 5th – 8th place teams will receive 25,000 baht/team and the 9th – 16th place teams will receive 5,000 baht/team.
