Bangkok--10 Feb--Four Hundred Operations to start by end-2014. According to a release, Italthai Engineering Co.,Ltd. (ITE) has signed an agreement with Serm Sang Paland Ngan Company Limited (SSP) of Thailand to construct a 52 MW-dc large-scale solar power generation plant in that country. Construction will begin in January, with operations scheduled to start by the end of 2014. The plant will be operated by power producer SSP, which earlier placed a construction order for the project with ITE, Sharp, and Italian Thai Development Plc. (ITD). ITE will collaborate on the design, supply and construction of the balance of plant (BOP) for the plant. When the new plant comes online, the total amount record of solar power generation plants completed by ITE will exceed 200 MW. The power plant will employ thin-film solar modules that offer superior performance characteristics under high temperatures. Sharp will supply approximately 400,000 of these modules—along with the requisite BOP—on an expansive area of about 1.3 square kilometers. ITE has continuously provided EPC services for the whole plant or BOP for Solar Plants and Wind Farms under ISO9001 certified quality management system with strictly safety construction control to achieve “zero accident” assuring smoothly project running, completion within schedule and quality commitment includes close collaborating on the design and construction with our clients and authorities concerned.
