Sukosol Hotels is pleased to announce the appointments of Philipp Frickhinger as General Manager of The Sukosol, its flagship hotel in Bangkok and Hans H. Spoerri as a Director of the Executive Board for the recently rebranded hotel group.
With an extensive hospitality background in Thailand, Germany, Australia and China, Mr. Frickhinger will oversee the operations for the 470-room hotel and its well-known international restaurants. He joined The Sukosol as Resident Manager in August 2013 and now takes charge of the hotel following its recent refurbishment and rebranding.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Frickhinger was General Manager at Cape Panwa Hotel in Phuket. He is a German native with a Bachelor’s from Southern Cross University in Australia and an MBA from HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management.

Mr. Spoerri has been appointed as a Director of the Executive Board of Sukosol Hotels, responsible for overseeing special projects across all hotels.
One of the region’s leading hoteliers, Mr. Spoerri joined the group in 1995 as General Manager of The Bayview in Pattaya, before moving on to oversee the group’s 20-acre Siam Bayshore Resort as General Manager. In 2002, he was promoted to Group General Manager overseeing all aspects of operations and marketing for the hotel group.
