Every Friday and Saturday from now, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s renowned Orchid Café invites diners to enjoy its “Inspired by Italy” dinner buffet.
The winner of TripAdvisor “Certificate of Excellence” 2013, Orchid Café’s fabulous buffet will feature a special selection of gourmet Italian dishes created by chefs from the hotel’s celebrated restaurant, Rossini’s.
The array of antipasto, salads, soups and main dishes will include delights such as salads of mixed greens with crudities and dressings, marinated salmon with cilantro cream on Spanish bread, smoked salmon with aromatic herbs and olive tapenade, and authentic Italian charcuterie. There will also be beef carpaccio with extra virgin olive and oil shaved Pecorino, Caprese buffalo mozzarella with tomato and fresh basil, and baked onions with ricotta.
Tempting main dishes will include baked prawns with garlic, parsley and confit tomato, succulent slow roasted pork belly with sherry, raisins and shallots, flavorful Italian fennel sausage on sundried tomato and Parmesan polenta, duck leg confit with olives, orange and basil, and melt-in-the-mouth braised veal cheeks with Prosecco, and much more. There will also be a choice of grilled seafood, Western and Thai favorites. The weekend feast will end with divine Italian desserts such as creamy coffee-infused tiramisu, luscious panna cotta, and a selection of Italian artisan breads and cheeses.
