Construction for the factory of the Pigeon Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. started on 29 April 1996, with the facility commencing its manufacturing operation on 12 June 1997. Sitting on a 45,592-square-meter plot of land, the factory is located in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Chonburi. It has operated under the vision of, “Our love keeps all mothers and babies smile”. This factory is divided into two main zones. The first zone spans over 7,475 square meters with its areas used for both office workers and manufacturing lines. The second zone spans over 5,074 square meters. The factory has hired 378 people. The Pigeon Industries (Thailand) president, Mr. Koji Matsutori, has overseen the factory, which has manufactured baby and mother care products such as baby wipes, nursing pads, liquid cleanser for nursing bottles, and pacifiers for Thailand market and for exporting to various countries. Its net sales have reached Bt1,392 million.
In response to its policy to expand its business both in Thailand andoverseas markets, Pigeon Industries (Thailand) is preparing to boost its manufacturing capacity and invest further in technology as well as R&D. With its continued efforts to deliver products for best serving Thai and international consumers, the firm is confident that Pigeon Industries (Thailand) will remain the Pigeon’s biggest manufacturing base for overseas market. Moreover, Pigeon Industries (Thailand) has directly employed nearly 400 Thais.
Another Pigeon factory in Thailand is located in Samut Prakan at Bang Sao Thong area. Operating under the Thai Pigeon Co., Ltd., it has mainly manufactured plastic products like nursing bottles, nursing nipples and plastic parts. This factory is also a key manufacturing facility for Pigeon in the region.
